Designing a powertrain that exists beyond the threshold of human hearing, optimized for the high-density acoustic profile of modern megalopolises.

Every city has a soundtrack. The roar of combustion engines, the hiss of brakes, the constant mechanical percussion of a world that has forgotten what silence sounds like. Zivv's powertrain team set out to change that.

The S1's motor operates at a frequency below 20Hz — beneath the floor of human hearing. Achieving this required rethinking the entire drivetrain from first principles. Traditional EV motors produce a characteristic high-pitched whine. The Zivv team engineered a custom rare-earth magnet configuration that shifts harmonic resonance out of the audible spectrum entirely.

Acoustic testing was conducted in a custom-built anechoic chamber capable of reaching -9dB(A) — one of the quietest man-made environments on Earth. Engineers wore noise-cancelling headsets not to block engine sound, but so they could hear their own heartbeats and remain calm during the tests.

The result is a machine that doesn't just move quietly — it moves like thought. Instant, silent, precise. This is the architecture of silence.
